Sleeping baby

So, this was not what Darren and I had planned on Christmas Eve but Taylor had other plans. I had taken him into his well baby check up on Tuesday, Dec. 23. He had has RSV so I knew they wouldn't give shots but they still wanted to see him. While we were there I mentioned that Taylor doesn't hold his neck straight and never has. I thought being a preemie he was just a little behind.

The Doctor told us she wanted him to get a CT scan and see what is wrong. They scheduled it for the next day and that is how we ended up at the hospital for SIX hours Christmas Eve. It was so hard seeing my baby go to sleep with anesthetic. We had a great Doctor who stayed with him the whole time in the CT room and a wonderful, sweet nurse that was with him the entire time until he was discharged.
This is one way to get his nap in.
He did really well with the sedation but was pretty cranky for about 24 hours after. We should get the results tomorrow or the next day.

Christmas Fun!

We are really trying to enjoy this Christmas season. I am still counting our blessings even with a husband with a broken foot, a baby with RSV and kids home all week because of snow. I know we are very blessed. I am so grateful for my family and our warm home to live in. With temps. dropping in the low teens at night, my heart goes out to those without any homes. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for what he has given to us and the blessings we have. Here is some of the fun we have had this week.

I left Taylor in the living room about 3 feet from the tree to check on the kids. When I came back this is what he was doing!

What? I didn't do it!
I think this one is mine!
Love you mom!
Since last Saturday we have had about 8 or so inches of snow!
Wonder if I could get away with throwing this at my brothers?!

So much fun!

Darren snow blowing Jarrison.

Noah fell for it too!

Snow blowing on a broken ankle! I told him if he got hurt, don't bother coming inside.

Gingerbread making with dad. What is up with India's outfits? Love her hair.

The finished project.

On the 6th day of Chirstmas

On the 6th day of Christmas, my family gave to me....

6 loads of laundry to fold.

5 noses to blow

4 kids a whining

3 hours a day of driving

2 trees to put lights on and decorate

And 1 husband with a broken ankle!

Merry Christmas to me. I am praying for a healthy and peaceful rest of December and also praying Darren gets his cast off soon and can drive himself to work! 3 hours a day is hard but we are sure getting lots of family time:)
